The mystery of massage unveiled
It’s NOT just a massage, at Soul Shakti the aim is to listen to what your body is telling us and then we compliment it by delivering the required pressure, stroke and energy to relieve and release the pain and stress that have built up.
Our therapists are trained in other modalities so we have the unique ability to fuse and give you the best possible treatment, add to this we work on an energetic level, that is where listening to the body comes from, so we not only move things physically we move things on an energetic level, this gives you the added bonus of feeling light, more relaxed and more balanced.
Soul Shakti believes in a proactive approach to looking after the mind and body hence, we like to educate our clients in better care of their minds and bodies, as everyone is unique we don’t have a ready made prescription however, the one thing we will ask everyone to do is get regular bodywork done why? Our bodies will suffer from wear and tear through our physical activity to lack of physical activity, they are like fine tuned sports cars that respond to the slightest of changes be it in temperature, food, emotion, environment or thoughts so, with this we need to be aware of how any of these changes affect our wellbeing and how through these symptoms of illness or disease can be manifested.
Types of Massage on offer at Soul Shakti:
Remedial:
A more deep tissue massage focussing on any injury or troubled sights. We work with various techniques to release and reactivate the muscle and fascia so you gain more mobility. We are mindful that an over stressed muscle doesn’t need more pressure to create the sense of relief, hence the techniques used are mindful and respectful of the state of your bodies needs for each session.
Aromatherapy:
Using a blend of essential oils we will indulge your senses and relax and relieve your mind and body. The oils are blended after a short consultation with you so that each session is a unique sensory experience.
Hot Stone Massage:
Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on the body. The massage therapist may also hold the stones and use them to massage certain areas of the body.
The use of hot stones for healing dates back to ancient times, but it wasn’t until Arizona massage therapist Mary Nelson introduced her hot stone massage technique, called LaStone Therapy, that the use of hot stones for massage caught on.
Indian Head Massage:
The head, neck and face are massaged whilst manipulating energy channels. The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that cause ailments.
When the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common ailments, including stress, pain and nociception pains and aches, and baldness or hair loss.
