In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the understanding of the human body is based on the holistic understanding of the universe as described in Taoism, and the treatment of illness is based primarily on the diagnosis and differentiation of syndromes. Shiatsu is similar to acupuncture in TCM effectively but without the needles; a more hands-on intuitive approach where the practitioner can diagnose and feel into the state of the clients body using acupressure points and Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis. Shiatsu utilises acupressure, stretch, bio-energy stimulation and massage techniques to unblock and enhance the flow of bio-energy throughout the body.

Clients leave a treatment feeling lighter, centred and more embodied. Every major organ has an associated bio-energy (Chi) system which runs in meridian pathways through part or all of the body. I specialise in awakening these meridian systems helping them to “come online” and function in a much more energised, nourishing and balanced manner. The healing benefits are vast and range from increased energy, calming anxiety, acute and chronic pain relief – including intestinal, menstrual, neck, shoulders, back and lungs. Powerful emotional releases are quite common too, which could be vital to disease prevention in the future.
